Without making the cloud an end in itself, by the way, but a means to an end. But we are also realistic: the majority of all organizations cannot fully move to the cloud right now, so a hybrid setup is the right solution. Some of the strategic choices you make in doing so now will determine what you can do later. So the key is to take advantage of technological opportunities in the following areas:

  • Phasing
  • Multi cloud
  • Security
  • Exit scenario (avoid lock-in)

In our opinion, your journey to the cloud should be gradual and at your own pace, but we do use a proven process that consists of the following phases:

1. Cloud design

We conduct a strategic dialog about your infrastructure in relation to the (possibilities of) the cloud and arrive at a joint framework of terms and the final design of a solution.

2. Cloud integration

We set up your Modern Virtual DataCenter infrastructure at datacenter and arrange connectivity to the cloud.

3. Cloud optimalization

In this phase, one of your data center will disappear and this will be replaced by our Modern Virtual DataCenter concept . Non-business-critical data and processes, such as back-up, archiving or management servers, are the first to be moved to the cloud.

4. Target architecture realization

Target architecture is realized when the processes designated in the design phase have been fully moved to the cloud.

5. On-prem minimalization

Computer and storage have moved to the cloud and within the Modern Virtual Data Center concept only a minimal on-premises setup remains. It contains the intelligence within your hybrid setup to continue to guarantee security, identities, portability and exits, now and in the future.

6. Data-centricity

Digital transformation covers different areas, including people, processes and technology. IT systems must be made suitable for the transition to more data-centricity.

Multi Cloud

One cloud does not a cloud make

ust like there is not one airline that can take you to any destination under the best possible conditions, there is no cloud provider whose services are best suited to every (future) use case.  It is therefore important to keep your options open: you want to be able to choose and remain portable with your cloud infrastructure and processes. A multi-cloud strategy is decisive for the future of the IT organization in many companies.

Cloud providers have arranged their security extremely well. But the world remains hybrid for many organizations for the time being. Your on-prem environment must therefore not be the weakest link in terms of security in a hybrid setup.

Modern Virtual Datacenter© addresses this by:

  • Multi-subscription & -accoun tmodel.
We set up your cloud platform in segments to minimize the risk in the event of a security breach.
  • Multi-layer application model with layered security approach
We use a security model in which a triple division is made between the data, system and presentation layer with specific security measures for the functions in question.
  • Auto-scaling security platform
We make technology and design choices based on the idea that a security solution must be extremely modular and (self)scalable.
  • OTAP based infra deployment
Our security model distinguishes between (O) development, (T) test, (A) acceptance and (P) production environments and ensures that code adjustments can be made from O, T & A without risk to production.
  • Content encryptie
Still not reassured? Additional encryption of confidential information is also possible.

Exit Scenario

The latter is at least as relevant as the former. It is therefore important to make exit and portability clear in advance in all its forms. After all, you don’t want to be faced with surprises the moment you want to make use of it.

  • Cloudportability
By placing our Cloud Gateway in a data center, you have access to all conceivable cloud providers that it houses. Our solution, which monitors your cloud identities, and security and networking policies at all times, allows you to switch between these suppliers.
  • Public Cloud exit
If you ever want to leave the public cloud, our cloud gateway is easy to expand with your own compute and storage capacity. Due to our proximity to cloud providers, a combination is also possible: storage on-premises, compute from the cloud.
  • Exit
If you are unexpectedly dissatisfied with our service, you can also easily eliminate our services without disrupting your cloud services. At the start of our collaboration, we clearly explain what we will deliver in such a case, how long it will take and what the costs are.
